Finn the Aussie-Doodle

Back in January Charlie and I got a dog. He’s part Australian Sheppard and part Poodle – we named him Finn. Ever since we’ve taken him home, he’s been brightening up our days. People don’t hesitate to tell us that we couldn’t have picked a more energetic breed, and they’re right! But it’s a great thing because Finn forces us to get up and move … constantly.

I’ve always been a cat person and never really grew up with dogs, but since my cat passed away last summer I’ve been wanting a little companion to make my days a little more joyful. Charlie and I couldn’t agree on a cat – I believe that cats should be indoor/outdoor animals and Charlie believed that in our current living situation if we got a cat it should be indoors only. So, we decided on a dog and we couldn’t be happier.

He’s the best buddy a girl could ask for – I love him to pieces! Since I’m working at home finishing up my Master’s thesis, it’s so nice to have this little cutie there to snuggle with me. I get out for fresh air a lot more instead of working the day away and he’s always up for a game of fetch.

Stay tuned for future updates!

Until next time,
